Discover the Magic of Christmas in Badalona: A giant tree, dazzling lights, rich traditions, and joyful celebrations

During Christmas, Badalona transforms into a vibrant city, full of lights and colors, offering a rich festive program with activities for all audiences. The streets are filled with Christmas lights and special decorations, creating a magical atmosphere that invites people to stroll and enjoy the festive spirit. The celebration begins with the lighting of the Christmas lights and trees, a moment that marks the start of a season full of activities.

The Christmas program in Badalona is varied and accessible to everyone. In the Plaça de la Vila, you can visit the traditional nativity scene, a classic representation of the birth of Jesus that is part of the city’s cultural identity. In the El Refugi hall, the Nativity Scene Exhibition showcases authentic works of art, where artisans recreate the nativity scenes in great detail. During the festivities, Christmas markets fill the city with stalls full of gifts, crafts, and typical gastronomy, ideal for finding a special detail or simply strolling through the festive atmosphere. Additionally, the Christmas concerts, specially designed for the little ones, offer musical performances that delight the whole family. The royal mailboxes, distributed throughout various neighborhoods of Badalona, allow children to drop off their letters with wishes for the Three Kings, keeping the Christmas spirit alive.

A special Christmas for the little ones

One of the most magical experiences is visiting Santa Claus’s House. Here, Santa prepares for his temporary stay in the city, and children can meet him up close, enjoying a charming environment that makes them feel part of his magic. The city also offers other notable proposals, such as the Christmas Fair in Plaça de la Plana, an ideal place to buy typical products and gifts, and buy your Christmas tree or the typical Catalan Tió de Nadal. The Park of Illusions, with games and interactive activities in Montigalà and Sant Roc, is another attraction for the little ones. In the libraries, children can participate in the Lantern Workshops, where they can create their own Christmas lanterns.

The Royal Camp at the Can Solei and Ca l’Arnús park offers the chance to see how the Three Kings prepare for their magical arrival, and on the night of January 5th, the Three Kings Parade will traverse the streets of Badalona. This traditional parade, with the floats of Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthasar, is one of the most anticipated moments for children, who eagerly await the gifts and magic of this special night.

This Christmas, Badalona awaits you with open doors to experience a holiday season full of light, magic, and fun.
